Mott MacDonald is an international engineering and management consultancy operating in a range of industries, including transport, power, water, building, health and education. The company has 100 offices across the world and in 2003 it acquired the health company HLSP. Last year it won a £10m contract to manage health systems dealing with Aids in Zambia. Water and transport contracts in Britain, and expansion into eastern Europe, have helped profits grow 49% a year from £4.9m in 2000 to £16m in 2003.
