Mous creates iPhone and Samsung phone cases and a range of accessories, and seeks to differentiate itself by combining protection, looks and functionality. Co-founders James Griffith, 29, James Day, 26, Lucy Hutchinson, 29 and Will Mullen, 30, moved to China for five months to work on design and manufacturing. They produced video content to promote the new products, featuring them being dropped from height to highlight the quality of the cases. In November 2017, they launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, being backed by over 70,000 people, raising $2.4m to start their business. This helped sales grow sixfold to £5.4m this year, which are forecast to quadruple to £23m in 2020.
