Air-To-Air missiles launched from fighter jets are tested by BAE Systems on simulators that use electronics designed by Nallatech. The Glasgow company’s high-performance electronic systems are designed for use in aerospace, telecoms and imaging and can be reprogrammed to perform different tasks. Allan Cantle, who formerly worked for BAE, founded Nallatech in 1993 and has secured £2m of funding from 3i and Scottish Equity Partners. Sales at the company have risen 117% a year from £277,000 in 1999 to £1.3m in 2001.
