Backed by £9.7m from investors, the company has convinced the world’s most desirable brands, including Oscar de la Renta and Christian Lacroix, to sell through its website, catering to high-end, time-poor buyers, who typically spend £500 per transaction. A new American distribution centre enabling same-day delivery in New York, and new designers on the list have helped to drive up sales at the London firm by 76% a year from £11.8m in January 2005 to an annualised £36.5m in February 2007.
