Netwise Systems

Stuck at home with his leg in plaster after a football injury in 1994, Paul Caudell had the idea for Netwise Systems. He teamed up with Lee Hiscott and John Withers to use the latest technology to improve the network performance of clients such as UBS Warburg, Reuters and the London Stock Exchange. Sales have grown 104% a year from £1.3m in 1998 to £11.1m in 2001, when the Surrey company employed 15 people.
