This firm is one of only a handful of companies that are delivering region-wide broadband networks using wireless technologies. Its main customers are local government authorities and it is one of 17 companies chosen to supply the government’s Broadband Aggregation Programme, a £1 billion scheme to provide internet connections to schools, councils, police forces, fire services and the NHS. The Sheffield company was established in 1998 and chairman Michael Teacher has raised £2.6m in equity funding. Its sales have grown 70% a year from £758,000 in 2000 to £3.7m in 2003.
