This telecoms and broadband provider was founded in 2010 by chief executive Nigel Eastwood, 48, who bought the UK assets of US-based Primus Telecommunications Group. With the help of £10m of investment from New Sparta in 2013, New Call Telecom has since expanded in India, the Middle East and the US, acquiring Indian messaging technology brand Nimbuzz in 2014 with more than 210m users across the globe, plus call carrier Wavecrest. The company also owns a number of low-cost international calling brands and provides calling cards for companies such as Tesco. Sales reached £58m this year.
