Niftylift was founded in 1982 by engineer Roger Bowden, 65. The company designs and manufactures hydraulic platforms such as cherry pickers and access lifts and has facilities in Barnsley and Milton Keynes. Managing director John Keeley, 52, says the firm adds two new markets a year and exports to five continents, with sales abroad totalling £30.6m in 2011.
