The online advertising network Nixxie takes advertising feeds from Yahoo and distributes them to websites in America, Europe and Australia. Its artificial-intelligence software matches advertisements to website content, so that only the relevant ones are displayed. The company was founded in 2004 by Jason Smith, Jules Pancholi and Julian Mountford and is backed by the venture-capital firm Nitro Ventures. Sales have grown 48% a year from £3.4m in 2006 to £11m in 2009, as the London company looks to expand into the Far East.
