Kate Wilson, 55, former managing director of Macmillan Children’s Books, set up Nosy Crow in 2010. Her London firm now publishes about 100 original children’s books a year. Its successes include the Bizzy Bear titles and the Pip and Posy books, currently being turned into a television series, each of which have sold more than 1m copies. Offering publications in 43 languages helped international sales hit £9.9m last year.
