This family firm traces its origins to 1897, when brothers George and John Seddon started a bricklaying business in Lancashire. In 2013, Seddon Group restructured, and its property services arm became independent, rebranded as Novus. The business offers new-build painting, building maintenance and refurbishment to sectors including healthcare, education, social housing and retail from 26 offices nationally. It is led by chief executive Neil Hand, 53, who joined as an apprentice in 1981 while chairman Stuart Seddon, 57, of the fourth generation of the founding family, continues to be involved.
