OCS takes its name from its mission to provide its clients with One Complete Solution for property services. The Croydon company has operations on five continents, providing services ranging from building maintenance to catering, waste management and pest control—it even rents out birds of prey and handlers to scare off pigeons. The company is owned by the descendants of Frederick Goodliffe, who set it up as a window-cleaning business in 1900. Under chief executive Chris Cracknell, sales have grown rapidly, reaching £674m in 2008.
