Founded as a stationer producing quill pens for Victorian solicitors, Office Team has evolved into a company providing more than 40,000 lines of office products. Offering everything from furniture to janitorial supplies, the Croydon firm says it has more than 27,000 customers in the legal, commercial and professional sectors. In 2007 chief executive Jeff Whiteway led a buyout backed by AAC Capital Partners, valuing the company, formerly known as OyezStraker, at £163m. Office Team has since made six acquisitions, and, while sales slipped to £160m in 2010, profits grew by 35% to £9.1m.
