Founded in 1946 by brothers Duncan and Jack Ogilvie with £100, this third generation Stirling-based construction company builds houses and commercial property across Scotland and northern England. It also builds schools under the public private partnership scheme. It has diversified away from its core business into vehicle-fleet management, and it has now 9,500 vehicles for hire. It is also involved in telecommunications, IT security and support both nationally and in America. Under chief executive Duncan Ogilvie, who aims to grow the business further through acquisitions, 2007 sales reached £190.3m.
