Glasgow-based Oh Polly is known for its figure-hugging dresses and skimpy swimwear. Founded in 2015 by Claire Henderson, 31, and Mike Branney, 33, it has offices in Liverpool, Los Angeles, Dhaka and Guangzhou. The company says its quirkily named clothes — from the Tie Me a River dress to its Just Beachy bikini — are designed “for girls, by girls”, and 70% of its senior management positions are held by women. The company has capitalised on its 2.4m Instagram following to drive sales to £21.4m in April, and in July, collaborated with Instagram star Demi Rose to launch its first TV advert.
