Opus began life in 2002 as Oxford Power and today supplies electricity and gas to 130,000 British businesses including household names such as Virgin Media and Stagecoach. In 2006, FTSE 100 firm International Power became Opus’s largest shareholder and signed a long-term supply deal. Under managing director and co-founder Charlie Crossley Cooke, sales climbed 38% in 2012.
