Rising demand for IT staff, especially those with niche skills such as knowing how to programme applications for mobiles, has driven growth at Opus Recruitment Solutions. The company helps place 500 candidates a year, mainly with smaller businesses but also some FTSE 100 companies. Founder Darren Ryemill, 36, started the firm in 2008 after selling his stake in another recruitment consultancy, believing that recruiters should focus on delivering the right candidates rather than selling the roles. The company, based in Bristol, opened a London office in April 2012 and is looking at new markets on the Continent and in Asia.
