Microsoft and Telewest are among Packet Exchange’s 600 customers in Britain using its network of secure, high-speed digital lines. It says it is also attracting a growing number of customers from mainland Europe and America. The company was founded by Kieron O’Brien and Jason Velody, and its sales have grown 152% a year from an annualised £645,000 in 2002 to £4.1m in 2004. Since last November it has raised more than £6m from investors, including Cazenove.
