This Lanarkshire firm says it is Scotland’s biggest coach and car-hire operator, with a fleet of luxury coaches available for private bookings as well as for running day tours and scheduled express trips across Britain. The company began in 1971 when managing director Douglas Park started to hire out his three coaches to parties of tourists. Park’s also has other interests. It runs a vehicle-recovery service, car dealerships, a repair shop and several petrol stations along with a caravan centre. Sales were £273.1m in 2006.
