Gary Woodward founded his company as an application-service provider during the dotcom boom, with a £1m start-up loan from his previous business and £2m of development capital from LDC, which holds a 15% stake. After the bubble burst, he refocused as an outsourced IT and communications service provider, and Pasporte now offers managed data networks, managed hosting and software applications for clients such as Keystone Foods and Orient Express Hotels. With IBM and Orange as partners, the Surrey company has grown sales 84% a year from £2.9m in 2004 to £9.7m in 2006.
