This Ford retailer has three dealerships on Merseyside and three in central Scotland selling private and commercial vehicles, which generated sales of £188.9m in 2004. Peoples’ commercial-vehicle division offers a 24-hour repair workshop from Monday to Thursday, and the firm has launched a private finance initiative with Knowsley council in Liverpool to service and maintain its 700-vehicle fleet, a deal that, according to chairman Brian Gilda, is the first of its kind in Britain.
