Perkins Foods

Dartford’s Perkins Foods makes convenience food, including ethnic ready-meals and sandwich fillings, for customers in Britain and abroad. Its subsidiaries include Fresh-Pak, which claims to be Europe’s largest producer of egg mayonnaise. The company, which was taken private by ABN Amro in 2000, also makes pasta and potato dishes in Holland and Luxembourg and owns a food wholesaler in France. A series of disposals caused sales to fall from £218.1m in 2005 to £150.7m in 2006.
