Chairman Ken Savage and managing director Ray Somerville have pushed through rapid expansion at Perrys, the car dealership that claims to have sold 17,000 new and 19,000 used vehicles last year. The company was formed in 2001 through a £27m management buyout of the motor dealership division of the quoted Perrys Group. The most successful of its 28 sites is in Doncaster, with sales of £25m in 2003. The company’s profits rose 69% a year from £1.6m in 2000 to £7.8m in 2003.
