Around a third of all FTSE companies use Pertemps to find temporary staff, according to the high-street recruitment firm founded by Constance Watts in 1961 and majority-owned by her son Tim. The business grew through several acquisitions in the late 1990s, and the Warwickshire company has launched an employee share-ownership scheme that will give 40% of the company to its staff in the next two years. Sales reached £268.5m in 2006.
