In 2004, the year founder Anthony Preston sold his firm to Bridgepoint Capital for £230m, Pets At Home increased sales by £17m to £219.5m and raised its operating profit to £9m. This year, Pets At Home plans to add 12 new stores to its chain of 162 nationwide.
