Expansion at this upmarket pet store chain has continued despite the pandemic. Since March 2020 it has opened or acquired seven new stores and eight pet spas, and now has 145 in total. Its wares range from pet food and treats to toys and hutches. Profits rose to £4.9 million in 2019. Headquartered in Crawley, West Sussex, it opened a £7 million, 43,000 sq ft distribution centre nearby shortly before the coronavirus struck. Managing director Dean Richmond, 48, runs the business, which his parents founded with a single shop in 1968.
