Pharmalink helps big pharmaceutical firms to deal with regulatory matters. It also assists small biotechnology companies that are applying to have their drugs approved. The company has offices in Britain, America and India. The European Clinical Trials Directive and an increasingly complex regulatory environment have helped to raise Pharmalink’s sales 76% a year from £928,000 in 2002 to £5.1m in 2005. The company was founded in 1998 by chairman Peter Griffin and his wife Una who, together with managing director Stephen Loughrey, own a stake in Maidenhead United football club.
