Remembering a series of computer passwords can be a headache. According to the research firm Gartner, more than 30% of calls to IT helpdesks relate to problems with changing passwords and being locked out of accounts. Pirean, a partner of IBM, helps the likes of Universal Music Group, large financial firms and county councils to manage IT log-ins and security. Founded in 2002 by Stuart Wilson and Neil Newman, the Hampshire company is expanding into America and recently opened an office in Boston. Sales have risen 96% a year from £903,000 in 2006 to £6.8m in 2009.
