Among the 42m magazines printed by this company are the Radio Times, Country Life and catalogues and mailings for Argos and Tesco. Investcorp created Polestar in 1998 through a merger of Watmoughs and the British Printing Company. Debt forced a restructuring in December 2006, when BlueBay became the largest shareholder through a debt-for-equity swap that also turned lenders, JP Morgan and Royal Bank of Scotland into owners. Annualised sales were £344.6m in 2007.
