Its units allow electrical equipment to work at its optimal voltage, maximising energy efficiency. The company’s first UK installation was for Tesco in 2001, and today it has about 1,500 units throughout the country, with customers such as Land Registry, Sainsbury’s and government bodies. Under founder Angus Robertson, sales have grown 97% a year from £1.5m in 2005 to £11.6m in 2008.
