All its revenue is generated from the rebate it receives from its telecoms partners for every call made to its 0844 number. The company, based in Richmond, Surrey, claims to be the first to employ this business model in Britain and, according to founding directors Paul Lees and Andrew Pearce, has grown through heavy brand building, spending more than £1m on advertising last year. Sales grew 42% annually from £2.2m in 2007 to £6.3m in 2010, when the company acquired Yuuguu, which enables its users to share what is on their computer screens.
