Fast Track 100

When the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer decided to relocate 13,000 items of equipment and 1,700 staff to a new laboratory complex in Sandwich, Kent, it turned to Premier Moves. The company was set up in 1996 to offer bigger companies a ‘one-stop shop’ for office relocation. Pfizer’s move, which took six months to complete, involved transporting some pieces of equipment that were valued at up to £500,000, and configuring operations according to complex technical specifications. Other clients include Vodafone, Tesco and Bank of New York. The company’s founders, Jerry Marks and Dave Russinger, had almost 20 years of experience in the industry between them. Sales of their London company have risen 81% a year from £955,000 in 1997 to £5.7m in 2000, when it had 80 staff.
