This London-based chain’s fresh soups, sandwiches and salads are sold in more than 530 outlets in eight countries, including a new opening at Singapore’s Changi airport last year. Under chief executive Clive Schlee, 59, Pret agreed a partnership in November with Italian multinational Autogrill to open shops at major North American and European airports and train stations. Its private equity backer Bridgepoint sold the chain to Luxembourg-based investment firm JAB in May for a reported £1.5bn.
