This online printing company has built software that connects digital images captured on a user’s device to one of 50 printing labs around the world. Prodigi owns three of these, located in the UK and Holland. It then prints the image onto items such as canvasses and phone cases, and ships the product directly to customers. Clients include the Natural History Museum, professional photographers and online printing companies such as Redbubble, which uses Prodigi’s software to outsource the printing of its own customers’ products. Set up in Cardiff in 2014 by James Old, 43, Stephen Levin, 46, and Tom Gallard, 35, it has acquired fellow print on-demand specialists Pwinty and Kite, and reported sales of £17.9m in March.
