Two of its founders – Andrew Ralston, 56, and Steven Day, 52, previously co-founded and ran Virgin Mobile, while Chris Alliott, 46, also has a telecoms industry background. The Bath-based firm has secured investment from BP, which took a 24% stake in the company in 2016, and buys Pure Planet’s energy in the wholesale market.
