The clear sound of digital audio broadcasting can now be heard in homes across the country thanks in part to Radioscape, whose technology has cut the cost of manufacturing DAB radios. As well as developing modules for wireless sets, the London company, led by chief executive John Hall, develops software that enables broadcasters to transmit radio and television programmes on the DAB standard. Overseas revenues tripled after Radioscape started selling in China and, while the business continues to make a loss, total sales have grown 89% a year from £2.6m in 2003 to £9.2m in 2005.
