This group provides more than 1m fuel cards and related services to fleet operators, typically small ones with between five and 10 vehicles. The cards are valid at 25,000 fuel stations across Europe and are used to buy 3bn litres of diesel a year. In 2013, Crewe-based UK Fuels merged with its other fuel card companies to form Radius, operating in 21 countries. Under founder and chief executive Bill Holmes, 52, the combined group generated gross sales of £1.5bn in 2016. The figure includes fuel duty.
