Music industry veteran Brad Aspess, 63 — who owns more than 100,000 vinyl records — noticed a gap in the market for selling music memorabilia online, and launched Rarewaves in 2005. Its range of 500,000 products includes music, video games, books and costumes, which it sells on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and France’s Fnac. International sales reached £17.1m last year, representing 85% of total turnover. This growth has been boosted by launching new products, as well as expansion in America and Australia.
