Profit Track 100

RDF is the plucky independent production company behind the reality-TV hits Wife Swap and Faking It. Founded in 1993 by former BBC correspondent David Frank, it has sold the formats in more than 20 countries. Wife Swap won a Bafta last year, and a local version is showing on prime-time television in America. Other shows include Scrapheap Challenge and Ladette to Lady, which sends hard-drinking girls to finishing school. Foreign sales have helped to boost profits, which grew 61% a year from £954,000 in 2001 to £4m in 2004. The company has expressed an interest in floating on the stock market this year.
