More than 100,000 small businesses around the world use this company’s software and accounting tools to save time and money on bookkeeping. Growth in its core markets of America, Europe and Australia, and the adoption of automation technologies incorporating artificial intelligence, helped Receipt Bank to more than double sales to £6.2m last year. In July this year it secured $50m (£38.5m) from American tech investor Insight Venture Partners, bringing the total amount it has raised to $65m. The business is led by co-founders Michael Wood, 41, and Alexis Prenn, 55, and chief financial officer Alex Gayer, 42.
