After a £15m buyout led by chief executive Tom Hooper in December 2005, Red Commerce is now owned by its management and private-equity partner Inflexion. The niche IT recruiter was set up in 2000 and claims to be one of the fastest-growing SAP and integration technology recruiters in Europe. It provides SAP experts – whether project analysts, trainers, consultants or system integrators – to blue-chip customers such as Sony and IBM, most of its recruits working in Europe on fixed-term contracts. Of the original three founders, Ezra Chapman remains on board as a non-executive director. With offices in Britain, France and Germany, the company has boosted its sales 75% a year from £4.2m in 2003 to £22.4m in 2006.
