Redeye cut customer acquisition costs by 20% by sending tailored e-mails to people who registered on the site but didn’t start betting. Its e-mail marketing campaigns have included charity appeals in response to major emergencies. The company is based in Crewe and led by chief executive Mark Patron. Its sales rose 61% a year from £1.7m in 2005 to £4.4m in 2007.
