Redwood provides contact centre technology for large enterprises and public sector bodies. It was set up in 1993 by brothers Sean and Martin Taylor, 52 and 49. The group launched in Japan in 2017. It enables clients such as the e-commerce giant Rakuten to communicate with large numbers of customers using artificial intelligence and cloud-based platforms. Overseas sales hit £14.5 million in 2019 and it has since helped public sector bodies, including the NHS and the Department for Work and Pensions, to manage contact volume amid the pandemic.
