The group that encourages workers across the UK to “love Mondays” in its advertising campaigns was founded in 1960 when Sir Alec Reed opened the first branch of the recruitment agency in Hounslow. The London-based company now has 350 offices around the world and says that every month more than 7m jobseekers use its website to find work, making 160,000 applications every day. Under chairman James Reed, 53, and chief executive Richard Post, 53, sales grew to £931m in 2014.
