From providing CCTV and high-tech security at shopping centres to transporting and processing prisoners in police custody, Uxbridge-based Reliance Security provides a range of security services to clients from the Scottish government to Tesco and DHL. Offering electronic and manned security, facilities management and outsourced custodial and other secure business services, sales in 2008 reached £381.9m. Having been a public company for more than 20 years, it was taken back into private ownership in August 2007 by chief executive and chairman Brian Kingham, in a deal funded by RBS and Barclays valuing the company at £197m.
