Following in the footsteps of his father, an art dealer, Richard Green, 79, sold his first painting for £200 before establishing his own gallery in 1965. He built a new gallery in Bond Street next to auctioneers Sotheby’s in 2011, which he runs with his two sons Jonathan, 52, and Matthew, 47. The dealer’s presence at international art fairs helped overseas sales rise to £32.3m in 2014.
