Founders Henrietta Rix, 28, and Orlagh McCloskey, 30, met while studying the same course at the London College of Fashion, and bonded over their shared love of vintage clothing. After a stint working in the industry they both quit their jobs to found the company in 2015. Selling vintage-inspired contemporary clothing, it says every print is hand painted by the founders in their studio. Its clothes have been worn by celebrities including Holly Willoughby and Margot Robbie, and are sold through 140 partners worldwide, including Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Liberty, and Net-a-Porter. It now has 32 staff, achieving sales of £10m this year and forecasting an increase to £16m in 2020.
