Rocela

This firm helps companies that want to buy and install Oracle database software. It also sells its own software to handle Oracle compliance issues. Rocela – the name is an anagram of Oracle – was founded by two former Oracle employees, Martin Mutch and Kenny Wilson, who still own the company. Its customers include Littlewoods, Diageo and BP. Rocela is based in Edinburgh but also has an office in Singapore and is looking to America to expand even further. A number of acquisitions are also being planned. Sales at the company have grown 159% a year, from £1.2m in 2003 to £20.6m in 2006.
