It presses discs more cheaply in other European countries and then ships them to independent shops and large retail chains in Britain. Founded in 1996 by two music-industry veterans, John Gray and Jan Biddle, the Slough company has raised its sales 73% a year from £5.3m in 1998 to £27.1m in 2001, when it had 44 employees.
