Founded in 1979, Ronly has expanded into a global trading company. It sources metal and agricultural commodities from countries including Brazil, Ukraine and Turkey, and exports them to continental Europe, America, the Middle East and Asia. The London-headquartered business has offices in six other places, including Dubai and Istanbul. Ronly achieved profit growth of 120% a year from £2m in 2005 to £21.1m in 2008, helped in part by China’s surging demand for raw materials.
